We were actively involved in many projects at different stages, from the HQ in Germany to the Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific regions; supporting the team's’ internal and external needs.
Our job included the strategic analysis of business cases, support in healthcare programs and new regional strategies; technical assistance in storytelling, designing slides and data visualization. More than 200 presentations have been created helping Merck Group receive awards and secure important business deals for growth.

Boosting pharmaceutical sector competitiveness through Public Private Dialogue

The Tunisian government partnered with the World Bank to conduct a pharmaceutical diagnosis and PPD to enhance the sectoral growth and propose policy recommendations. The aim is to create the right conditions to accelerate the development of Tunisia’s pharmaceutical industry and boost its competitiveness Through our approach, we offered a support and facilitated this process in 3 major phases: (i) sector diagnostics and prioritization of binding constraints on sector competitiveness; (ii) elaboration of sector specific action-plans; and (iii) establishing implementation mechanisms.
One of the results is the sharp reduction of the Marketing Authorization process from 2 to 3 years to under 9 months, despite a difficult political and economic climate in Tunisia. Other pharma reforms are being implemented such as medicine pricing process reforms,the improvement of the public procurement process and the promotion of clinical trials – lessons learned from this practice can already be shared and replicated in other sectors.

Sephire - Union of Innovative and Research Pharmaceutical Companies - is a Tunisian professional association created in 2011 in the midst of the Arab spring. Sephire represents the top 15 multinational pharmaceutical companies in the country.
Its objective is to amplify the voice of its members, articulate policy related messages and participate more actively in the healthcare public debate.
Through a meticulous stakeholder dialogue and benchmark analysis, we managed to define Sephire’s positioning, its service offering and the specific topics it engaged in. Today, Sephire is recognized as an active actor and contributor in the local healthcare ecosystem, helping improve the quality and accessibility of medicine and the skills of healthcare professionals through continuous medical education programs and knowledge transfer opportunities.
